Jessie is a self-taught painter focused on nature and abstraction. Her art speaks to a playful appreciation for variety in the mundane, and the emotional undercurrents of loneliness & ‘sensitivity’ in our world.
“painting is my therapy”
While she’s always been creative (& a perfectionist), Jessie was a late bloomer to painting. She picked up watercolors at 18, after her father passed away very suddenly.
Watercolors became a meditation and a way for her to process her emotions. She fell in love, and soon discovered her love for acrylic painting & pouring. She continues experimenting with acrylics and watercolors while juggling her professional career as a paralegal.
With the encouragement of friends & family, Jessie launched ARTIST IMPERFECTIONIST to share her creative journey. She needed a name to embody a pressure-free attitude for embracing the inevitability of imperfection.
